Monetary Administrative Penalties
In the cases provided for under the Real Estate Brokerage Act or its regulations, the OACIQ may impose a Monetary Administrative Penalty (MAP) on a broker or agency. A MAP is a coercive measure that the OACIQ can use to repress certain technical offences. A MAP is an effective enforcement tool to protect the public, supplementing other means such as the disciplinary or penal process.
